The Farm!!

Here are the before pictures!

These were taken in December 2010. We are so excited about the potential here. The garden space hasn't really been tended to for a while, so it needs to be cleaned up before planting. There is a drip system in place, which will be reconfigured to meet our needs. We also plan to open the space up a little.
There is also a section that hasn't been used yet that we will convert into growing space.

The owner has some chickens on the property and has agreed to us having some there as well!

If we do chickens, we will build a coop and run next to the garden area.

Like I said on the main blog, we consider this a miracle!

God has blessed us so much and we are thankful for this opportunity!!

Dreaming of Summer Zucchini!

I love summer zucchini fresh from the garden. When you pick it, it is warm from the hot summer sun. In the peak of the season I run out of creative uses for zucchini and because our garden is small I don't grow enough to preserve for later. Which leads me to the situation I am in right now... dreaming of summer zucchini! I know I could go buy some at the store but it just isn't the same. Instead, I think I will begin plotting my spring garden. Where are those seed catalogs?
